Sepia is the calcareous skeleton of the cuttlefish, which is an excellent source of natural calcium; it is better and easier to absorb than calcium from "calcium blocks," which mainly consist of gypsum.

Sepia contains over 80% calcium carbonate. In addition to calcium, it has many trace elements such as: magnesium, manganese, titanium, iron, copper, nickel, chromium, vanadium, zinc, barium, lithium, aluminum, molybdenum.
